The start of a new season brings plenty of reasons to buy a new outfit or shoes, but I also like to change my beauty routine and incorporate any products my skin might need.
The summer months I live and breath by “less is more”, but as soon as fall hit’s I’m all about bold shadows and dark lip colours. I tend to have dryer skin in the autumn and focus on makeup products that won’t dry out my skin, but still giving me the coverage I need.
The New Foundation:
I was recently sent a few beauty products to test out from Kat Von D, and this True Portrait Foundation was one of them. At first I thought it was going to be a heavy foundation like most of her other products, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a light-weight medium coverage foundation! It features an Elastic Essence Effect that prevents the foundation from creasing when you make facial expressions. But the best part is the way it dries from a liquid to a matte-powder finish! I was very impressed with how flawless my skin looked, however I would be careful if you have a dry skin.
The Drugstore Makeup:
A follower recently messaged me and asked if I could share more drugstore makeup, so I started to incorporate and test out some favourite brands which I will of course share in a future post.
After giving some drugstore brands a try, I’ve fallen back in love with Maybelline’s Age Rewind Concealer. It was one of the products I would use religiously when I was in college, and it’s still as moisturizing as I remember. What I love about the Age rewind is that it doesn’t sit in my creases and fine lines like the Shape Tape Concealer does because it’s got a much lighter consistency.
