Before I kick off Gifting Week with the first gift guide. I wanted to say a quick thank you to today’s local sponsor, Mastermind Toys. This year we wanted to focus on small or local shops in our area. We love supporting our local economy and Mastermind Toys is having a pretty amazing Black Friday event. Remember you can find all of our Gift Guides here or in the Holiday tab.

I know it can be hard choosing the perfect gift, especially for children. So I wanted to make this easy for you by sharing all the toys we have and love. Yes, we have tested every one of the toys and Penelope still plays with every one of these.
But let’s be honest, Penelope doesn’t need anything else. She literally has everything and that’s the problem. I think we’re learning for next year to avoid buying toys throughout the year and wait until Christmas.
The one thing I was really impressed with this year that I wanted to highlight was our LOVEVERY Box! We got our first one in September and she STILL plays with those toys every single day. But the best part of the LOVEVERY subscription, is you get a new box of developmental activities specifically for your child’s age four times a year. They are also extremely well-made toys, often made with wood over plastic (which I personally love). In my honest opinion, this would make a wonderful gift that keeps on giving! You can use my link here to get 10% off.

As always I love supporting local and if you shop through this link here, you can access Mastermind Toy’s Black Friday Event.
Outdoor play is essential to any child’s development, and overall emotional regulation. Gifting anything you can do with a child outside that involves physical activity is an amazing gift.
Pretend play is another essential to a child’s development. Our big Christmas gift last year was Penelope’s play kitchen. She still plays with it daily, and she loves it.
Even thou we aren’t travelling this year, we still take these activities in the car with us. It’s also a great gift to take to grandma and grandpas house, or just something to keep your little ones busy.
A few other gift ideas that we loved receiving last year were a toy train kit, and the little table set. Both are used almost daily as well, she loves sitting at her table and it’s where I set up art projects or learning activities. The train is just great family fun and she loves that.
Stay tuned for more holiday gift guides coming this week! Thanks for shopping with us and shopping local.
