I know you miss your friends, your play dates and you wonder where they are.

But I know that one day you will remember the fun we had together instead. You’ll remember the things we learned and how safe you felt especially when you were snuggled between your parents at night.

One of my favourite ways to liven up the place is by snipping a few branches and putting them in water.

It’s just a great way to breathe life in your home and especially great if you don’t have fresh flowers like we normally do.

It’s Canada day, 🇨🇦 and for most of us that means a celebration of sorts.

For Indigenous people we see the broken treaties, pipelines through native communities, the highway of tears, the screams of children who were taken away from their families. We see the children welfare systems failing our families. I read today that “You cannot be talking about Black Liberation without talking about Indigenous Sovereignty. It is intersectional. Especially if you’re living on Stolen Land.” @shayla0h

So instead of celebrating Canada Day I want to invite you to learn, listen and open our hearts to clearly see Canada’s real history.

- Go swimming
