“I will not stay silent so that you can stay comfortable” ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 My goal for SPV Living has always been to share thoughtful and honest topics about beauty, parenting, homemaking, and most importantly wellness. I hope I share relatable, educational, and valuable content while encouraging everyone to build a beautiful life.
However, this past week has been a lot harder to share this mission with you all, especially when the current events expose a lot of hate and injustice happening right in front of us.
I feel as if it is not only my duty but the duty of every single person that has a voice to stand up right now. We must use that voice for good while doing what we can to influence the good in others. We must also support those organizations and individuals that need us the most, because it's no longer enough to simply speak the truth. We must act.
Which is why I wanted to share this post with you all. Instead of my usual light hearted content this evening I am going to share a few things I have personally done to show my support to BIPOC. I am by no means an expert on what you should be doing, but I hope sharing this it will encourage you to show support as well.
I know it can be a tough subject to talk about but you have to understand that these are the days that will be marked in history books.
So my question to you is, will you sit back and watch or will you rise up to stand against injustice and oppression?

Wanna know what happened to me today? I tried to get Penelope a pencil from the cabinet, and the cat was peaking in when I accidentally slammed her paws in the dresser. 😭😭😭 Don’t worry she’s okay and was given lots of love and treats.
And if that wasn’t enough, when I was shooting P’s room for the blog I bumped into her dresser, knocking down the huge mirror that landed on my laptop and knocked over the first tank. The poor fish was flopping everywhere. 😭😭😭😭 The moral of the story is.... 🧐🤔I’m not sure what the moral of this was lol. Maybe it’s that all have bad days.

- exfoliate - use a self tanner (I’ve got some recommendations on the blog) - do some kind of exercise - eat nourishing foods/take supplements
